I am formatting a manuscript for my book, but I am having an issue with Word spacing out certain sentences when I justify my text. Most of the document is justified properly after enabling these settings.
However, there are still a few sentences that have extra spaces in them and I can't figure out why. No matter what I do, these sentences have an extra space in them like this. This thread is locked. - Fixing funky character spacing in justified text in Microsoft Word - Legal Office Guru
I have recently started using Word for Web along my Word , but it is giving me weird spacing issues. Same files have bigger spaces between paragraphs than they do in Word for Web. Deleting those spaces makes them look good, but then in Word for Web the file looks like there is no space between paragraphs at all. In other words, it does feel like Word adds extra space between paragraphs when that space is added using Enter in Word for Web.
If I remove the space from Word , then later in Word for Web the text is back to looking like a wall When I delete it, the file looks good in Word for Web, but turns into a wall of text in Word for Web when I remove them from Word Actually, the reading mode as well as print mode when it creates a PDF look exactly like the Word file meaning the spaces get bigger if I add them in Word for Web.

It would help us to understand the issue better if you could send us screenshots to show how it looks as per the above two statements.
What happens when you print the same document from Word as well as Word Online? Do they print the same or differently? Thank you. Thanks for your feedback. How satisfied are you with this reply? Thanks for your feedback, it helps us improve the site. This site in other languages x.
